Native (2012–present)
On February 4, 2012, OneRepublic announced via Twitter that its album is planned to be released in the fall of 2012, with a new single "hopefully [coming in] April/May". A new song, entitled "Life in Color" has been used in a 2012 Ralph Lauren commercial for the new "Big Pony" fragrance collection for women. This is the second time that one of the band's songs has been used in a Ralph Lauren ad, after the song "Secrets" was used in promotion for the "Big Pony" men's fragrance collection in 2011. Despite rumors of "Life in Color" being released as the band's first single from its new album, OneRepublic announced via Twitter on March 17, 2012, that this song could be "a" single at some point, but not the first. OneRepublic also mentioned on April 5, 2012, the titles of the three songs they feel best about on the upcoming album so far: "What You Wanted", "Burning Bridges" and "Let's Get Lost". Along with this, a song titled "Feel Again" was mentioned in a YouTube video as a "potential first single."On July 6, 2012, OneRepublic announced on Twitter that the lead single off its upcoming third album would be entitled "Feel Again". The song was performed for the first time on Good Morning America on August 10. The single received radio airplay on August 22 and was released on August 27. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the single will be donated to Save the Children's Every Beat Matters campaign to support training frontline health workers around the world.The music video for "Feel Again" was released to Vevo on August 28.
In September 2012, OneRepublic announced that the titles of three more songs off its new album are "Counting Stars", "Preacher", and "Something's Gotta Give". They also announced that the new album has a lot of "tempo".
On September 19, it was announced that its studio album would be entitled Native. The band announced on January 8, 2013 that the album would be released on March 26. The album's first global single, entitled "If I Lose Myself", was released on the same date that the announcement was made.
